All audition classes held at Virginia Regional Ballet Academy in Williamsburg.

VRB’s 2009 Nutcracker performances are tentatively scheduled for the week of December 14th at the College of William & Mary. All rehearsals will be held at Virginia Regional Ballet Academy (Sept.-Dec 2009). All performers are subject to costume fees. All parents of performers MUST volunteer in some capacity that benefits the Nutcracker production.

Audition Schedule

Advanced student Lexie Peterson was awarded the McElheny Scholarship to attend the prestigious 2008 Interlochen Summer Arts Camp in Interlochen, Mich., where she will participate in the intensive 3-week course on modern dance. Lexie has studied dance for 13 years under the direction of Heidi Robitshek. In addition to ballet and pointe, she has excelled in jazz, contemporary, lyrical and character dance performance. She has performed in numerous productions, including two tours to the International Dance Festival in Germany and the Pennsylvania Regional Ballet. We are very proud and excited for her!

Senior student Rachel Lord has been accepted to the 2008 Summer Session at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. She was chosen based on dance ability, techniaue and ptential demonstrated during the national audition tour. She has previously accepted invitations to attend summer dance intensive seminars at the School of Richmond Ballet, the Boston Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. We are so proud of her!
